This project involves the demolition of a former care home that is no longer fit for purpose and the construction of a modern 74-bed care facility. The new development will retain the site's C2 use class and is designed to offer exceptional care for elderly residents, including those living with dementia. The building will feature a high-quality, contemporary design with thoughtfully landscaped gardens and a range of internal and external amenities for residents and their families. It will meet all current building and energy efficiency standards and incorporate renewable technologies wherever feasible. This new care home will help address a local shortage of quality care beds and is intended to be a sustainable, long-term asset for the community. The development will also bring approximately 70 full-time jobs to the area, alongside short-term roles during construction. The design carefully considers scale, massing, and local context to ensure the home complements and enhances its surroundings, contributing positively to the character of the area.
